Houston has a lot to offer culturally. Sometimes the posts are specific to the Houston culture scene. Other times, it's just me yammering away in general about the stuff I come across that I like.

I check out Raven Tower for the first time, and show some loyalty to my Louisiana roots by checking out the GIVERS show. It left a lot to be desired for a bunch of different reasons. Or maybe I was just upset because it was still only Tuesday.
What better way to kick off the summer than with some live music from great bands at a cool new venue, bar hopping around downtown, and late night cheese with my favorite person in the world?

Day For Night 2017. It was cool, it was weird, it was definitely worth the $80 I paid for a ticket on Craigslist, maybe not the $125 Freepress Houston was asking for a one day Saturday ticket.

Introduced to the Preacher comics a little while ago, and now AMC is sharing it in TV show form to the world. I'm completely drawn in by the location (Texas), the characters, and learning how they capture the notoriously violent and inappropriate comic series.
Tonight was the night I should have been finishing up final edits and submitting my screenplay to the Sun Valley Film Festival High Scribe competition. The premise of the story is an age old tale with an unexpected modern twist, but the writing right now is awful.
